REQUIEM FOR HUMANITY
A 40-minute choral work in 11 movements, exploring the themes of life and death through texts drawn from diverse religious traditions and the words of inspirational leaders and poets. Scored for divisi SATB choir, soprano, alto and baritone soloists, with piano or organ accompaniment, or with string quintet and piano.
AVE MARIA - SSATB
A six-minute a cappella work for SSATB choir, recorded by the World Choir for Peace and released on the Sony Classical album Peaceful Choir.
TWILIGHT
A collection of 16 original piano pieces inspired by the transitions of nature, released on the Summer Solstice 2025.

A work for divisi SATB choir inspired by the Greek myth of Endymion, in which Diana, goddess of the Moon, watches over the sleeping shepherd.

Helen Ostafew is Composer-in-Residence with KONEKTO, an international musical community bringing singers together across Europe. This November, KONEKTO comes to Bath for a three-day choral project culminating in a candlelit concert at St Mary’s Bathwick on 29 November 2026, conducted by Tori Longdon.
The programme includes two movements from Helen’s Requiem for Humanity, Faith and Lux Aeterna, and the English premiere of her festive work The Night Before Christmas, performed with Bath children’s choir Voices for Life.
